Wistful Coast is a delicately rendered fine art print, drawn from a fleeting moment captured along the windswept Cornish shore near Marazion Beach, UK. In the hazy distance, the storied silhouette of St Michael’s Mount rises from the sea—an island fortress steeped in medieval legend, accessible only by foot when the tide permits. It is both destination and mirage, floating in memory as much as in landscape.

This composition playfully deconstructs the traditional coastal scene. The horizon is fractured and reassembled with wandering, hand-drawn lines that weave across sea and sky, tugging the eye and the imagination into new directions. These gestural interruptions serve not to distort, but to reframe—to invite a reflection on what renders a scene ‘picturesque’ and how quickly beauty can flicker and dissolve.
