Thoughts on a Tower is a limited edition fine art print, crafted with care on archival-grade cotton rag paper and restricted to just thirty copies—each individually signed and numbered by the artist.
The image began as a simple iPhone photograph taken in Bicentennial Park, near Sydney, in June 2022. At the centre stands a solitary tower, rising from an artificial ridge—once a refuse mound, now reshaped and cloaked in soil. It overlooks the rehabilitated mangroves below, where tidal waters once again breathe life into the estuarine sweep of the Parramatta River.
The composition is quietly symbolic. A soft arc rises on the left, curving upward to bisect the sky—two moods emerging from a single horizon. Across this sky, ephemeral lines in white and yellow arc and drift, like fleeting thoughts or emotional resonances carried on the wind. They invite the viewer to pause—to consider memory, reclamation, and the invisible threads that tether place to feeling.
Sitting somewhere between abstract expressionism and lyrical surrealism, this print is not merely a study of landscape, but a meditation on transformation—of land, of self, of perspective.
Each print is produced by the artist in his own studio, using richly pigmented inks and the same direct approach to printmaking that has endured across centuries—even as the medium evolves.
(Please note: the framed image is for illustrative purposes only. All prints are carefully packaged for delivery, unframed.)
