Yet beneath this scene lies a layered story: the parklands and sporting precinct were shaped from reclaimed ground, once the site of quarries, abattoirs, and refuse. Mangroves, once interrupted by industrial designs, have here been restored, their tangled roots echoing deep memory and renewal.
